Architects Alex Michaelis and Tim Boyd are known for their site-sensitive and highly contextual approach to design. Their houses, hotels and escapist havens are thoughtful responses to unique settings, with designs that draw inspiration from nature and the natural world. Residential work has always been at the heart of Michaelis Boyd's practice. They have designed a series of landmark hotels, restaurants and bars, as well as members' clubs and retreats, which tend to adopt concepts and comforts traditionally associated with our own homes.

New Natural Living concentrates on twenty of these fresh and ambitious projects, including private houses and enticing escapes in the UK, France, the United States and Africa. Their common thread is a focus upon the natural world and architecture that offers a vivid sense of connection between inside and outside space.
